Porter County Aging & Community Service presentation "The World of Mental Health"

Through funding from NWICA (Northwest Indiana Community Action) Porter County Aging & Community Services will host a presentation on “THE WORLD OF MENTAL HEALTH” by Sandy Carlson, the Vice President of Clinical Services at Porter-Starke Services. This program will discuss the latest in the world of mental health, an explanation of depression, the various treatment options and the mental health services available in Porter County.There is no charge for this presentation and it is open to the public.  Lunch will be provided.  All participants will be entered into a drawing for gift cards to local businesses.  If interested, you must RSVP to Melissa Benefiel at Porter County Aging & Community Services at (219) 263-8300 at least 48 hours prior to the presentation.

Historic Preservation Commission meets the third Thursday of every month at the City Council Chambers, 166 Lincolnway, Valparaiso, and the meetings are open to the public. Call (219) 462-1161 for additional information.

Porter County Aging & Community Service presentation "He Said, She Said: Living Wills are Vital Today"

Through funding from NWICA (Northwest Indiana Community Action) Porter County Aging & Community Services will host a presentation called LIVING WILLS by Donna Campbell, General Counsel and Director of Administration for Indiana Memorial Group. This program will discuss the importance of a living will, an explanation of the documents included in a free kit for creating a living will, and an overview of the 10 tools needed to create a living will. There is no charge for this presentation and it is open to the public.  Snacks and beverages will be provided.  All participants will be entered into a drawing for gift cards to local businesses. Booth Brothers Benefit Concert for CCA’s Spring Valley Shelter

The award-winning South Gospel Trio will be making single stop in the area performing a concert with proceeds to benefit CCA’s Spring Valley Shelter.
